I have witnessed incredible suffering and brutality in present day, Bethlehem but nothing that compares to Herod’s brutality. The place of Jesus’s birth, where angels invited outcast shepherds to come adore the Christ child, is still suffering. And for some reason, the suffering there is unparalleled.
